Edit the video into short clips related to your aims. These clips will show the positive interactions and effective communication

02

Recording

We then record a short video of you and your child/loved one interacting during normal activities

04

Feedback

These clips are then shown to you during a feedback session we call a shared review

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked
Questions

Who can benefit from VIG?

VIG can benefit a wide range of people, including parents, teachers, and caregivers. It is particularly useful for those looking to improve their communication and relationships with children, whether in a family, educational, or therapeutic setting.

What kind of activities are recorded in VIG sessions?

Everyday activities that naturally occur between the caregiver and child are recorded, such as playing, reading or mealtime interactions. These activities are chosen to capture genuine and typical interactions.

Is VIG suitable for all ages?

Yes. VIG can be adapted for interactions with people of all ages. From infants to adolescents or between couples. The principles of positive communication and relationship building apply across different age groups.

What are the benefits of VIG?

VIG helps caregivers recognise and reinforce their positive interactions and behaviours. VIG improves communication skills, strengthens emotional connections and fosters better relationships. For children, this can lead to improved emotional regulation, increased confidence, and better developmental outcomes.

Who keeps the videos?

While we are working together Meg keeps the videos on her device. When we finish working together you will be given a copy of all the videos we discussed in the shared reviews. Meg will delete the films from her device at this point.

Can VIG be used in settings other than home?

Yes. VIG can be effectively used in various settings, including schools, nurseries, and therapeutic environments. It can be adapted to different contexts to support positive interactions and relationships.

How much does VIG cost?

How many VIG sessions are needed?

The number of sessions varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some families may see significant improvements after 3 sessions, while others might benefit from a more extended period of engagement. The number of sessions will be agreed between us.
